The Cause of the Beginning of the Universe Was Personal
Two Options: At this point, we face two options. Either the cause of the universe was personal, or it wasn't. It's as simple as that. So which is it? Think of it this way.
Two Reasons: Things happen for two reasons--either they result from someone's choice, or they result from natural processes. A painting exists because the artist chooses to create, but the paint dries on the canvas because of natural processes. Natural processes always work immediately. As soon at the paint is on the canvas, it begins to dry.
Conclusion: The universe has not always existed, not eternal, and since something cannot come from nothing, there had to be something that caused that beginning that is eternal, someone personal. God exists.

Facts in the Book of Books Proves God Exists
What if there was a book that told of things concerning the universe which was written three thousand and six thousand years ago that contained factual information about this universe that man could not have known, but now has become known through the mode of modern scientific instruments that we now have. You know what you would ask? You would ask, "What book is that?"
Let's put down some facts that have been gathered by the scientific community and then examine what the Bible says about it.
Expanding Universe

Albert Einstein's General Theory of Relativity, which established the relationship between matter, space, time and gravity, governs modern cosmology's view of the universe. But when Einstein began to apply his theory to the structure of the universe, he was dismayed to find that it predicted either an expanding or contracting universe--something entirely incompatible with the prevailing notion of a static universe. In what he would later call "the greatest blunder of my life," Einstein added a term called the cosmological constant to his equations that would make his calculations consistent with a static universe.
Einstein admitted his mistake in 1929 when Edwin Hubble showed that distant galaxies were, indeed, receding from the earth, and the further away they were, the faster they were moving. That discovery changed cosmology.
Facts from the Bible
In the following scriptures the Hebrew word for the word "stretches" is a word that means a "continuing action".
Job 9:8 Who alone stretches out the heavens And tramples down the waves of the sea;
Psalms 104:2 Covering Yourself with light as with a cloak, Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain.
Isaiah 40:22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
Isaiah 42:5 Thus says God the LORD, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread out the earth and its offspring, Who gives breath to the people on it And spirit to those who walk in it,

Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man.
It was not until 1929 that Hubble discovered this fact. How in the world did the writers of the Bible know that the universe was continuously spreading bigger?
Hmmmm! Do you suppose that someone had to tell them? Maybe there is a God. For how else would man know this?

Evidence mounts that the expansion of the Universe is accelerating
The Universe is expanding at an ever increasing rate according to recent observations of supernovae. Astronomers believe that a certain class of supernova explosions - so-called type 1a supernovae - all have the same intrinsic luminosity, which means that their observed luminosity can be used to estimate their distance from Earth. By observing the redshift and the brightness of 58 supernova, two team of astronomers - one led by Saul Perlmutter from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the other by Alex Filippenko of the University of California at Berkeley - have found that the remnants of nearly all type 1a supernovae are at least 15 % further away than the standard model of the Universe predicts. This implies that the Universe is 'open' and will expand forever. It also suggests that a bizarre quantum force is affecting the expansion rate.
Oh, more trouble for the the Big Bang theorists. The Big Bang theoirsts said that about every 100 billion years the universe would go through a expansion and then a contraction which would take it back to a Singularity which then would explode again. This process, they said would continue through out all eternity. Now, they find out that this is not true as the universe expansion is not slowing down, but is accelerating. Hmmmmm!
A CURVED UNIVERSE

The universe is expanding, but it's already infinite. How is that possible? How does gravity work and effect even massless radiation like light?
Albert Einstein was the first to propose that the universe may be curved into four dimensions. The possibility of a curved universe is better understood in two (curved into three) dimensions: If Earth was two dimensional (which it actually seems from our perspective because we can only walk along the surface), then we could seemingly go forever and never reach the outer edge of the Earth: it would seem infinite, but by moving in a straight line we could end up at the same point we started. If the universe were curved in three dimensions, the effect would be similar but more complex. It would account for the expanding universe and strange curvatures in space-time. Einstein proposed that gravity is actually a curvature in space-time, and is an attractive force because objects flow into the curves in the special plane. Circle of heaven
Job 22:14 'Clouds are a hiding place for Him, so that He cannot see; And He walks on the "vault" of heaven.'
"Vault": This is the same word that is used to describe circle of the earth. The Hebrew word means: circle, circuit, compassive.
Amos 9:6 The One who builds His upper chambers in the heavens And has founded His "vaulted" dome over the earth, He who calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the face of the earth, The LORD is His name.
"Vaulted": The particular Hebrew word for vaulted dome means a band, bundle, knot, or arch
2 Samuel 22:10 He "bowed" the heavens also, and came down With thick darkness under His feet.
Psalms 18:9 He "bowed" the heavens also, and came down With thick darkness under His feet.
"Bowed": This particular Hebrew word for "bowed" is a primitive root; to stretch or spread out; by implication to bend away (including moral deflection).
The Bible uses three different words to describe the universe and all three of these words describe a shape of the universe as something that is curved. Now how in the world would the writers of the Bible have known that the Universe was curved. Ah, there had to be God who told them.
PATTERN FOR THE UNIVERSE

Ever since the telescope was discovered, man has looked at the universe in a two dimensional aspect, that is height and width and not really depth, although astronomers knew that the universe had depth.
Then Margaret Geller did something that had never been done before.
Margaret J. Geller is a Senior Scientist at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. She was a pioneer in mapping the nearby universe. Back in 1986 she started mapping the universe and her maps provided a new view of the enormous patterns in the distribution of galaxies like the Milky Way --- the largest patterns we know.
Dr. Geller took vast pictures of the heavens and put them into a three dimensional form. These three dimensional pictures that resulted has caused great stir among all those who have seen them, for the galaxies were found to be arranged like they were on the surface of a giant bubbles.
This is sort of mind boggling! We find a pattern: galaxies formed around, as it were, giant bubbles. How could an explosion, cause these patterns? Look at what is said about future headaches for the evolutionist.
In the meantime, the CFA study will go on, and other mapping efforts are in the works. "Big as it is," Geller explains, "our survey area compared with the visible universe is like Rhode Island compared with the surface of the earth." The bubbles and walls could be isolated phenomena. But, notes Geller: "Every survey ever done has contained structures as big as the survey could contain." It is a headache to them, because there should not be any patters from a humongous explosion of that Big Bang Singularity in the beginning. Explosions don't create patterns. This is not what was expected. Note the following:
Far from being a uniformly distributed collection of galaxies, as the textbooks have long assumed, the cosmos seems to be organized into immense bubbles, each of them about 150 million light-years across. The walls of the bubbles are galaxies, and the interiors appear to be virtually empty.

Well, it was only natural to expect that as an explosion always eject the material exploded in a randomized way because that is what explosions do. So, maybe there has to be another explanation for these gigantic patterns we find in the universe.
Facts from the Bible:
Jeremiah 33:25 "Thus says the LORD, 'If My covenant for day and night stand not, and the fixed patterns 2807 of heaven and earth I have not established,
Definition: H2708 khook-kaw' Feminine of H2706, and meaning substantially the same: - appointed, custom, manner, ordinance, site, statute.
The Bible claims that there are fixed patterns that are substantially the same for the heaven. Margaret Geller stated that these bubble galaxies, some larger and some smaller, are substantially the same.
Who would have ever thought, just looking into the heavens with unaided eyes would have ever thought that the galaxies were formed into patterns? The answer is, nobody, until Margaret Geller discovered it.
Who made these patterns? Who told inspired man to write about these patterns we now find in the universe? There is only one answer: God
EVIDENCES FROM NATURE THAT SHOWS WE LIVE ON A YOUNG EARTH

Also, what if, through our modern scientific instruments and through the knowledge that we now have, it can be shown that we live on a young earth, not an earth that is billions of years old? You say, "It can't be done." Oh, yes, well look at the following.
Tree clocks (Dendrochronology)
The oldest trees in the world are the Bristlecone Pines. They have been living for thousands of years. There is no apparent reason why they could not live for tens of thousands of years. Yet the oldest ones we find are 4,000-5,000 years old. Which is consistent with the time of the flood. The probable reason that there are no trees older than this is that none survived the flood 4,400 years ago.
Genetic Load
Mutations accumulate through time, passing on the potential for birth defects from offspring to offspring. Mutations are almost always harmful. There is questionable evidence that they are ever helpful. Mutations cannot be the source of new kinds of animals, for what we never see is a new kind of animal being formed from another (quite the opposite, mutations may be responsible or partly responsible for the extinction of a number of animals -- the more inbred a species becomes, the more likely these mutations will build to a point of jeopardy.) However, most plants and animals are thriving and are not in jeopardy of genetic loading, therefore, it can be reasoned that the biological world could not be millions or billions of years old.
Population Studies
According to population expansion rates, the population of the world at the time of Christ's ministry here on earth was 250 million. In 1800, it was 1 billion. In 1985, it was 5 billion. In 2000, we reached 6 billion and here in 2006, we are well on our way to 8 billion people in the world. In fact there are more people alive right now than have ever died in the history of life on planet earth. These numbers point to a beginning about 5,000 years ago. This would coincide with Noah's family getting off the ark. If human life appeared on the planet 3 million years ago as evolutionists teach and we had the same growth curve as we do now, there would be approximately 150,000 people per square inch. The current population of the world could actually fit within the city limits of Jacksonville, Florida.
Oil Gushers
The oil and gas contained in underground cavities is under enormous pressure as much as 20,000 psi. The rock that is over and around these cavities would have cracked and broke under that much pressure in less than 15,000 years. Another fact is the gas and oil can be formed in a relatively short time. In Canada, they turned 500,000 tons of sewage from the city of Halifax into 700,000 barrels of oil in one year. The process they used takes about 30 minutes. Which means that all the oil in the world could have been formed during the time of the flood.
Topsoil
The average depth of topsoil throughout the world is 8 inches. Calculations have shown it takes from 300 to 1,000 years to build one inch of topsoil. Therefore, the earth could only be a few thousand years of age.
Erosion
There would not be any sharp cliffs next to the ocean. Psalm 104:6-9 - "You did cover it with the deep as with a garment; the waters were standing above the mountains, at Your rebuke they fled; at the sound of Your thunder they hurried away. The mountains rose; the valleys sank down to the place which You did establish for them. You did set a boundary that they may not pass over; that they may not return to cover the earth."
After the great flood, God pushed the mountains up and the valleys down to allow the waters to subside. This is probably when the Grand Canyon and many other water erosion formations were formed.
